The TWIG raises funds for Alexandria Hospital, a not-for-profit hospital which has offered a full range of health care services to a diverse community for more than 130 years. Funds raised will be used for The Twig Pavilion, a 16-room telemetry unit that cares for patients needing continuous monitoring, usually due to heart concerns, renal failure, recent surgery, or pneumonia. Unit machines electronically measure and record vital health care information for each patient, which is monitored closely by medical staff, allowing certain conditions to be detected even before occurrence of physical symptoms.
